Carbon Capture Storage: Remote Sensing, a Key Player
The Paris Agreement at COP21 pledged to limit the rise of global temperatures to well below 2°C, reminding us of the urgency of a transition to a low-carbon economy. Carbon capture and storage (CCS) is developing as a key supporting mechanism with the potential for remote sensing to advance its progress, most notably InSAR. Here we present a case study from our partners Tre Altamira on how they are supporting this transition.

Like a Hurricane: A Remote Sensing Story
In May NOAA predicted an 85% chance of an above normal hurricane season for 2024. We have seen huge storms and damage to property and life, so what part does remote sensing play? Amazingly, it is the backbone of how the NOAA, and other similar organisations, track, monitor these storms and support society to mitigate these forces of nature. In this article we'll see the 'Hurricane Hunters', scientists and decision makers using remote sensing and advanced technologies to their full potential in a unique and fascinating way.

Mixed Reality: A Pioneering User Experience for Field Operators
Mixed Reality is fast-growing as an application for asset management in the design and construction industry. Understanding what is beneath the ground is key to having a safe, operational and efficient environment for companies, projects and the public. V-Labs are breaking ground with a pioneering headset that integrates location, information and seamless user experience. Read on for more.

GNSS for Rail
For our first ‘In Focus’ we’ll be taking a look at one of the most widely used technologies on the planet: Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). Most of us know GPS and Google Maps, here we show the value GNSS bring to the railway industry.
